These terms apply when you use packnifty.com, ask us for a quote, pick up an order at our Upland counter, or have us pack and ship something. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or order from us. If you are ordering for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms for that company.
1. Who we are
This website is run by ANSI Corporation, a California corporation, doing business as PackNifty ("PackNifty", "we", "us"), at 1302 Monte Vista Ave Suite 1, Upland, CA 91786. We sell packaging supplies in the United States and offer a paid Pack & Ship service from our Upland location. We sell only within the United States. You can reach us at [email protected] or (909) 285-4868.
Right now: online ordering is turned off. You ask for a price by email, we send a quote, and your order starts only after we both confirm it. These terms are written so they also apply if we start taking orders online.
2. Using this website
- You may browse the site and send us messages and quote requests for lawful, personal or business use.
- Do not interfere with the site, try to break into it, copy it in bulk with automated tools, or use it to send spam or anything unlawful.
- The text, photos, design, name and logo are ours or used with permission. Do not copy them without asking. Product photos on the site are illustrations and are labeled as such. The actual item may look a little different.
- Other brand names mentioned on the site belong to their owners.
- The site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.
- We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise it will always be error-free or running.
3. Products, quotes and orders
Catalog information
The catalog is a preview. Sizes, specifications, photos and availability are our best information and can change or contain mistakes. Dimensions are inside dimensions unless a listing says otherwise. Strength ratings and other specs come from the manufacturer's information and are not a guarantee for your particular use.
Pricing is by quote
Prices are not shown on the site today. To buy, email us the product, size and quantity you want. We reply with a quote that shows the price of the goods (any handling charge is already included in that price), the carrier shipping charge or a pickup option, and sales tax as separate lines, so you can see the full total before you agree.
Quotes and how an order is formed
- A quote is valid for 14 days unless it says otherwise. Prices and stock can change after that.
- A quote is our offer. Your order is formed when you accept the quote in writing (an email reply is fine) and we confirm it. Nothing on this website is an offer by itself.
- If we find a pricing or product error before shipping or pickup, we will tell you and give you the choice to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
- We may decline or limit an order, for example for stock limits, suspected fraud, or an address we cannot ship to. If we have already charged you, we will refund you in full.
Special orders and custom items
Items we cut, print, or order in especially for you are final once we start, as explained on the Returns & Refunds page. We will confirm the specifications with you in writing first.
4. Payment and sales tax
Payment is due as stated in the quote. We invoice quotes through Stripe: we email you an invoice or payment link, and you pay by card or another payment method Stripe offers for that invoice. Your payment details go to Stripe, not to us, and we do not store your full card number. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment. See our Privacy Policy.
We add California sales tax and any other sales or use tax the law requires. Tax is shown as its own line on your quote. If you are tax-exempt or buying for resale, send us a valid certificate before we invoice and we will apply it where the law allows.
Shipping is charged at the carrier's cost for your package. Any handling charge is already part of the price of the goods, so it is never added later. See Shipping & Pickup.
5. Delivery, pickup and risk
Details are on the Shipping & Pickup page. In short: we ship to street addresses in the United States, or you can pick up at our Upland counter. Ship dates and delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, because carriers control transit time. If we cannot ship by the date we gave you (or within 30 days of your confirmed order if we gave no date), we will tell you, give you a new date, and let you cancel for a full refund.
For orders we ship, the goods are at our risk until the carrier delivers them to you. For pickup orders, the goods are at your risk once we hand them to you. If a package arrives damaged or never arrives, we will replace it or refund you. See what to do if something goes wrong.
6. Returns and cancellations
Our full return policy is on the Returns & Refunds page and forms part of these terms. Short version: unopened, unused stock items can be returned within 30 days; custom and special-order items cannot, except if they are defective or not what you ordered. You can cancel an order for free before it ships or is picked up.
7. Using our products
You are responsible for choosing packaging that suits what you ship. Check the inside dimensions and strength rating against the weight and fragility of your item, and test a sample before you buy a large quantity. Follow any instructions on the product. Our packaging does not guarantee that a shipment will arrive undamaged. If you are shipping anything restricted, regulated or dangerous, you must follow the carrier's and the government's rules.
8. Pack & Ship terms
These terms apply when you ask us to pack an item and send it by carrier from our Upland location. They are part of these Terms of Service. If you send a Pack & Ship quote request, you agree to them.
8.1 What the service is
You bring us an item (or tell us what you need packed). We choose suitable packing materials, pack it, buy a shipping label from a carrier, and hand the package to the carrier. You pay for the packing materials, our labor, any handling, and the carrier's shipping charge. Prices are by quote and are confirmed by email before we start. Pack & Ship is for domestic shipments within the United States only.
8.2 Quotes, price changes and cancellation
- Your quote depends on the size, weight, value, fragility and destination you give us. If the real item is different, we will tell you the new price before we ship.
- Carriers can add charges after pickup, such as for a corrected address, an oversize or overweight package, a residential or remote-area delivery, or a weight difference. You are responsible for those charges. We will tell you about them.
- You can cancel for free before we start packing. After we have used materials or labor, you pay for those. If we have already bought a shipping label, we will try to void it, and the carrier's refund can take time.
8.3 What you promise
- The item, its description, its weight and value, and the delivery address you give us are accurate and complete.
- You own the item or have the right to ship it, and it is legal to ship.
- You have told us if the item is fragile, valuable, antique, one-of-a-kind, an electronic device, or glass, ceramic, artwork or a mirror.
- You have removed personal data from phones, computers and other devices. We are not responsible for data on a device.
- The item is not on the list of things we cannot ship, below.
8.4 What we cannot ship
We follow the rules of UPS, FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service, and the law. We will not accept:
- Explosives, fireworks, ammunition and firearms or firearm parts.
- Flammable or combustible liquids, aerosols and spray cans, compressed gases, paint, fuel, lighters, and other hazardous materials (also called dangerous goods).
- Corrosive, toxic, infectious, radioactive or otherwise regulated hazardous materials.
- Loose lithium batteries, damaged or recalled batteries, and damaged devices with batteries. Ask us first about any device that contains a battery. Some can ship only under strict carrier rules, and we may decline.
- Alcohol, tobacco and vape products, cannabis, and anything else that is illegal to mail or ship.
- Perishable food, live animals, plants, and human remains.
- Cash, currency, gift cards, negotiable instruments, and jewelry or collectibles above the value we agree to handle.
- Anything the selected carrier does not accept, or that we reasonably believe is unsafe, stolen or illegal.
Carrier lists change. Their current rules are at the UPS prohibited items page, the FedEx dangerous goods guide, and USPS shipping restrictions. If you hand us something we cannot ship, we may refuse it, return it to you, and keep any fee for work already done. If it was hidden or described wrongly, you are responsible for any fines, damage or costs that follow.
8.5 How we pack
We pack with reasonable care, using materials that fit the item as you describe it. Packing lowers the risk of damage but cannot remove it. We may open, look at and photograph an item and its contents to pack it and to record its condition. If you ask us to ship something in your own box or without the packing we recommend, we cannot promise it will arrive undamaged. If we think an item is too risky to pack, we may say so and decline.
8.6 Carriers, transit times and tracking
We ship with FedEx, USPS and UPS, and with LTL (less-than-truckload) freight carriers for large or heavy shipments. The carrier's own service terms apply to the shipment, and we act as your shipping agent when we hand it over. Transit times are the carrier's estimates, not promises. We are not responsible for carrier delays. We email you the tracking number when the label is bought.
8.7 Declared value and what happens if something is lost or damaged
Carriers include only limited liability in the shipping charge, often about 100 US dollars per package, no matter what the item is worth. If your item is worth more, you can ask us to buy optional declared-value coverage or insurance from the carrier. We buy it only when you ask, and you pay its cost. PackNifty does not insure packages itself, and the coverage is the carrier's, under the carrier's terms, limits and exclusions. The carrier decides the claim. Ask when you request your quote, because coverage usually cannot be added once the package is with the carrier.
If a Pack & Ship package is lost or damaged:
- Tell us as soon as you or the recipient know, in any case within 7 days of delivery (or of the expected delivery date for a lost package). Carriers set their own claim deadlines, and some are short.
- Keep the item, the box and all packing materials. The carrier may need to inspect them. Take photos.
- We will help you file the carrier claim and send you what we have: the label, tracking, packing records and photos.
The carrier decides claims under its own terms. If a claim is paid, the payment goes to you. Other than what is stated in section 10 and what the law requires, our responsibility for a Pack & Ship job is limited to refunding what you paid us for that job, plus passing on any amount the carrier pays. This does not limit anything the law does not allow us to limit.
8.8 Items left with us
If you leave an item with us and the job is not finished, or you do not collect an item we could not ship, we will email you. We can hold it for up to 30 days. After that we may charge a reasonable storage fee, and we will give you notice before taking any further step the law allows.
9. Warranties
We stand behind what we sell. If a product is defective or not what you ordered, we will fix it as described on the Returns & Refunds page. Except for that promise and anything the manufacturer warrants, the website and our products are provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. We make no promise that a product will suit your particular use. Nothing in these terms takes away any warranty or consumer right that California or federal law gives you and that cannot be waived.
10. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, PackNifty is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost sales, or the cost of replacing other goods, arising from your use of the website or from our products or services. For any claim about an order or service, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for that order or job, plus any amount a carrier pays on a claim. Pack & Ship claims are also handled as described in section 8.7.
These limits do not apply to our fraud, willful misconduct or gross negligence, to claims for death or personal injury caused by us, or to anything California or federal law does not let a business limit. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Governing law and disputes
- Governing law. California law and applicable U.S. federal law govern these terms and your dealings with us, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Talk to us first. If something goes wrong, email [email protected] or call us. Most problems are solved quickly. If we cannot solve it within 30 days, either of us may go to court.
- Where. For business customers, the state and federal courts located in San Bernardino County, California, are the exclusive place for any lawsuit. For consumers (people buying for personal, family or household use), you may sue in any court California law allows, which can include the county where you live, and we will not ask a court to move the case unless the law allows it. Either side may use small claims court.
- No forced arbitration. We do not require you to give up your right to go to court or to join a class action.
- Time limit. Legal time limits are set by law. We do not shorten them.

13. Accessibility

If something on the site is hard to use, or you need information in another format, email or call us and we will help you directly and fix the problem where we can.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Changes apply to orders confirmed after the new date. If we make a significant change, we will say so near the top of this page for at least 30 days. An order you have already confirmed stays under the terms that applied when you confirmed it.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stay in force. If we do not enforce a term once, we have not given it up. These terms, together with your quote or order confirmation and the Returns, Shipping and Privacy pages, are our whole agreement about your order.
